His law degree gave him the training to read patents which he now does to keep up with the technical changes at Amazon and Google. He reveals how Amazon algorithms work and how the technical dive into audio search and artificial intelligence affects current search ranking methodology. Amazon is working on optimizing the audio shopping experience so that when customers search for items on Alexa (the Echo) the one best listing for that query is added to the cart.
